Teachers who are passionate about using technology to improve the learning experiences of young people will drive ideaslab.
ideaslab research teams will be predominantly Victorian school teachers participating in the Victorian Government Teacher Professional Leave program. Research teams will work with their colleagues around Victoria to explore new ways of teaching through technology.
Teacher Professional Leave (TPL) provides teachers with flexible opportunities to improve classroom practice, build individual capacity and contribute to school and system improvement.
Teachers can take a minimum of four to a maximum of ten weeks leave under TPL. The time can be taken as a continuous block, spread over time, or as a combination of the two. It can be undertaken on an individual basis or as part of a team.
TPL is available to teachers who are fully registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching, are currently employed in a Victorian Government school and are not in a support role.
